Upper Kananaskis Lake, Kananaskis AB

This loop is one of my favorite hikes. Although it is fair length for some day hikers there is little elevation change and it offers a variety of scenery. Rock slides, forest, lake views, and waterfalls, rain or shine this is a beautiful hike. The hike is approximately 16 km and the elevation gain is quiet minimal (but varies depending on which trail report/review you read). There isn't a whole lot more to say about this hike other than the fact that this is prime bear habitat so be mindful while you hike.

Difficulty: Moderate (based on length)
