Big Hill Springs Provincial Park, near Airdrie AB

Only a short drive from the city, this hike offers beautiful paths in a coulee along a natural spring. The short 2 Km loop has very little elevation gain and is possible for an skill level. Although it is more of a short nature walk than a true hike the trail offers a nice break from the city. The park can be used throughout the year but if you plan to go early in the season crampons/ice cleats are a must. Most people stick to the lower area along the creek but the upper area offers views in and around the trees.

Difficulty: Very Easy
